WOMEN'S ANNUAL OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

Monday & Tuesday, 16-15 September, 2024

Greetings to everyone as our Emerre & Hathaway Poverty Bay Women’s Golf Open 16th & 17th September 2024 

We have our three sections – 40 entrants in our 54 hole matchplay section (5 groups of 8), 29 entrants in our 36 hole stableford section (3 divisions) and 18 entrants in our 18 hole stableford section (2 divisions). A total of 87 in the field.  We are looking forward to welcoming our visitors from all parts of New Zealand, especially those that have previously played and are returning to play again this year.

We have a very competitive Championship Division for our Poverty Bay Amateur championship so there will be some exciting matches to watch. We have approaches, etc for every division – a sheet with what colour flag and where your approach is will be given to all players when you check in to our Starters Office.  Also a copy of our local rules – these are also displayed on the blackboard.

Our Committee and members have been working hard to ensure we have a fabulous tournament.  The greenkeepers and volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure the course is in top condition and we just hope the weather is kind to us for our two days.  

There will be a cup of tea/coffee available in the locker room on Monday morning, lunch can be purchased in the lounge upstairs at lunchtime both days and we have our dinner on Monday night (included in your entry fee) with some spot prizes to give away - you must be there to receive a spot prize.  We will be running a sweepstake for the winners of the 5 matchplay divisions and have three lovely raffles running over the two days.  Prizegiving will be held as soon as all the field is in and had lunch on the Tuesday.
